Thanks for the tip on the resonators. I assume it mellows the exhaust sound?

I went the aesthetic route for sure. The custom H-pipe was almost free as I bring him a bunch of biz. The resonators were added the following weekend. Honestly I just don't want to hear the car. My commute is 50 miles one way.
Being a Fox tuner and one of mine has a Kenne Bell on it I didn't take this car seriously at all. I sold one Fox to a good friend who begged me and I was looking at Maximas. My wife told me to just get another Mustang since I haven't ever kept anything around long if it wasn't a Mustang and I didn't want to commute in the K/B Fox.
I got the CAI more for potential MPG gains than anything else. Only the fact that it was $95 shipped and is much higher quality than expected is the only reason I got it. $200+? Not happening.
My biggest gains came from this weekend adding a Diablo Predator. This car will chirp 3rd gear more than half the time now and that was NOT expected. Maybe the combination as a whole made this possible. It's an automatic also.
Do I take the 4.0 seriously now? hmmm, well honestly about as serious as I took my brand new 1992 GT and later another 1990 GT I bought used. Stock for Stock this 4.0 laid down the same exact ET on our 1/8th mile track as both of those cars have. Oh, and they have added 60 feet to the track since 2002 since it wasn't a full 1/8th. It is still a little shy but it is a country back woods track. It is only about 2 tenths off a full 1/8th now. Back then it was more like 4 tenths.
I may sneak down to the dyno soon. I will update you if you like. I will run the stock tune against a 93 firm shifting tune to see the differences. If the car lays down more than 190 to the wheels with a "stock tune" I would say it's coming from the CAI and exhaust but I don't expect much if any gains.
