Yeah the new ones have a "economy shift" that is supposed to give you better mileage. The 5.0 has so much torque you can shift from 1st to 4th... doesnt really bog it down. It does it when you reach around 2800 rpms in first but are not accelerating hard.... I just dont want the car making that decision for me! :) lucky its a simple disconnect of a solenoid and it stops it. Lots of threads on it.

very nice car. i just upgraded from my 4.0 to the 5.0 its a 2012 and same color and i love it!!!!!!!!!!
