Bought a 2014 V6 today... - 10-04-2014

So our blue '05 V6 with 94k miles is getting tired...plus with the longtubes and off-road exhaust its a little obnoxious sounding. So today we bought a 2014 V6 base car.

we're now 3 mustangs deep...

2010 Convertible GT
2005 V6
2014 V6
&
1995 Lightning

We are going to keep it simple with this car....nothing crazy, axle-back/tint/grille/leather take out upholstery/wheels.

You are gonna love the 3.7. It's a fun little package that handles extremely well and with simple mods runs very well.

got one also,,previously owned,, what kind of "upgrades " you headed towards? I just put new "redline hood struts" and a tower brace. The struts are great,,the tower brace,,nice but mostly for looks :)

Been a busy month.... Borla S-Type (stinger) exhaust, OEM Leather take-out, and JLT CAI.

Borla install---

Leather action----

JLT CAI---

Car sounds great with the exhaust and cai....make no mistake though...it sounds nothing like a V8 and never will.

Sounds to me like a souped up BMW M3 if I had to give it a name. Not as high pitched as a honda/sport bike sound. It's a bit deeper. Just no V8 rumble to it.

I can honestly say it sounds 1000% better than the 4.0L engine, and I had every iteration of exhaust system, Muffler only, LT's out a single, LT's out duals, quiet corsa mufflers, loud mac mufflers, stock '08 bullitt mufflers.

This new 3.7 sounds way cooler.

My $0.02...

cool stuff! I would look at adding some shorty headers! Loved the extra exhaust sound and the little bit of extra umph! ;)

Seems like a super easy install....but we don't want to add a tune. Factory warranty is super important to us with this car.

The JLT can be pulled of and factory air box installed back in 10min.
