MRT Interceptor Axle Back - 03-08-2014

2nd Mod is in the bag! The daughters have been insisting I add "VROOM VROOM" to the Mustang, meaning more exhaust sound! So I stopped by MRT this morning and had Scott install the Interceptor axle back!

Stock setup:

Comparison:

Installed:

Good looking tip! :

And of course VIDEO:

Impressions:

Very nice sound at start up and idle. Really like the REV sound... fairly aggressive sound, fairly full and refined... to me it's a good sound.. The acceleration is very smooth sounding. Makes it hard not to romp on the go pedal! LOL!

Ok... the subject I absolutely hate to talk about...drone... is there drone? Yes. Is it acceptable? For me, yes, very acceptable. Some people will say very little drone and will love it... For others the drone will be unbearable and hate this exhaust... but me, extremely HAPPY with this exhaust!

While I was there Scott and I deciding on the next Mod... ;)

Actually on start-up it's really not that loud... i use very light throttle out to the main road... I live across the street from a judge and next to an assistant prosecutor... neither have ever said any thing about my loud cars... and i go to work at 5:30am! ;)

Thanks!

3.55s should be going in in a couple of weeks. No DRs here! Will be sticking with the all seasons. I'll be very happy with a mid-13. ;)

Sounds good! Sure there's not enough time for a turbo kit before the Brawl? Bob needs a good race!

Thanks!

No turbo... i'll leave that to Jim! I'm just looking to add a little fun factor to the car... ;)

So we followed Scott from the shop down to Autorama... Scott was driving the MRT 2007 Fusion SEMA car...

Bailee ask about the Fusion, "Does it have an EcoBoost?"

Me: "No EcoBoost. But Scott did put a turbo in it"

Bailee: "Can he put a turbo in THIS?"

Got to love the way that girl thinks! LOL
