I updated the blog again tonight. I added a couple of parts to the ever growing pile of things that wish I would put them together.

Glad to have another set of eyes. My last conversion was much more normal. I did an '85 vert for my father-in-law about 2 years ago. Gave it to him on Father's day. This one has challenged my resolve several times, but is actually starting to move in the right direction finally. The Taruas cooling fan is an amaizing fit with the Steeda radiator. I haven't decided exactly how I will mount it, as the radiator will be recessed into the support section instead of being attached to it the way a Fox body is. I think the hardest part of this entire build will be the interior. The Motor, tranny, IRS, etc are mostly bolt in, with very little fabrication. The fenders I plan to use are bolt on fiberglass, and the quarters are bond on. Since I'm using the complete wiring harness from the Cobra, I think it will be tedious more than anything, but not technically difficult. I'm having fun just getting all the parts together.

I have been keeping an eye on this thread as well. Didn't know if you wanted us posting in it, as it might confuse others of your progress. LOL! Looks like it is going to be a VERY fun car.

Very cool! I am planning on putting a Cobra IRS setup into my 85 GT I picked up about 2 weeks ago. I am VERY interested in that portion! You seem to do very in depth write-ups so I am hoping that when I get to the point of starting my IRS install you will be done with yours. Hopefully it will be more than enough information, including a parts list, so I don't need too much more info! Lol! Keep it up!

I can definetely help you with the IRS with some good tech. There are a number of installs out there on the net, and they all have good points and bad points. The IRS can be done right in your driveway in a weekend, so no need to worry as long as you have done your homework and have everything gathered up. Send my an e-mail wwellman@acmustang.com and I will walk you through the thought process.
