What are you doing to get ready for the Brawl? - 02-12-2015

Wellll... We are at that time of year folks. The date has been announced, and now we all know how much time we have to get our rides race ready. So, what are you doing to get ready for the Brawl?

Believe it or not, l am making the car even more original. I found a 1966 block, and am in the process of getting the top half installed on the short block. And, because I no longer live in the same neighborhood, (not even the same county!) as my "friend" the judge, I am even going to put the headlights back on, and drive the streets again.

Oh, and still try to run a 10.90 at the BB9....

Looking forward to seeing it with lights installed and running in the 10's.

Me I am just trying survive this cold winter. That is all I need to do to get ready for the brawl. My car is ready to go. I may buy some new tires for it is all and have the rims painted black.

Installing a 4r70 trans with a brake, installing the 10% overdrive damper and getting the boost back to 22lbs. I'm almost done with the wiring and I should have the damper and timing cover done this weekend. Get it to the tuner by the first of March. It should be fun this year, hoping the car runs good and maybe see a 9.99 pass.

Order replacement engine
Dig the Mustang out of the third bay of the garage
Load it in the trailer
Drop it off at MRT
Pick it up when ready
Fill with gas
Get it tuned
Run some tests
Fill with gas and drive to the Brawl!

Now with twin turbo 3.5LV6.
Screw you photobucket! I'm not going to pay you to now use my own pictures

Since I'm considering selling the Challenger (I have this strange desire to either get another Fox, or something from the General's camp - found a killer '68 Camaro ragtop), I will likely be in the '12 this year, if not the F-150 again. Looks like the new family is coming along this year too.

As far as preparation goes, not really anything this time around. I'll settle for making a couple of (hopefully) 12 second passes in the daily.
