The plan is to run a trans brake and I figure I need at least a 3500 since the current setup didst start building boost till around 3000

Ideally you want to set the 2 step at 300-400rpm below converter stall when on the trans brake.

I would have thought those little hair driers your running would start making boost a little sooner than that. Do you have a 2 step now? It didn't sound like you did when I watched your car at the Brawl.

Yea I have a 2 step already

They are at 3 psi at 3-3200 I will scan the dyno sheet in tomorrow

little update on the car I finally got the trans pulled on Friday and found the issue. the trans was not bolted to the cross member so it moved around inside the tunnel causing the pilot bearing to break it pieces. hoping the clutch is still good but from first glance it seems like it will need to be rebuilt, also going to have a trans shop go through it to make sure nothing internally is screwed up.

I don't see how not being bolted to the crossmember would brake the pilot bearing. The transmission is bolted and doweled to the back of the engine and ain't going anywhere.

I dont understand how it would either but at this point that is the only thing I see wrong with. it could be something inside the case that went out but I wont know till that is a part

yea it happens, the trans is going to rpm transmission tomorrow to get checked out should take them about 2 weeks to get it done then everything will go back in and the car is going up for sale. i am done with this hp car, once it is sold i am going back to a 2v and nitrous

little update got a call from the trans shop. the input shaft bearing went out which bent the input shaft also killed 1st,2nd, 3rd and reverse along with the syncros
