Seems like since the system upgrade the New Posts buttom no longer works very well. It used to show all the new post since the last itme you logged in and even if you logged out and back in for the day but now it looses them all whenever you log out. Any ideas about this or am I just missing somehting?

This is also very annoying since we get auto logged out in a much shorter time then before which then losses track of new post.

Hmmm... I have neither of these problems. I have never been auto-logged out, and I think the New Posts works even better than before since it will show new posts even if you've read them and posts in the past 24 hours if there are no new posts.

Maybe you don't have cookies enabled? I'm thinking this is a browser issue, not a site issue. Also are you using an iPad or tablet? I've had the iPad log me out randomly and not display the new posts correctly.

Definitely not a browser issue. I login from multiple different computer from multiple locations with different OSs and different browser versions. You probably don't get logged out since you are setup as an administrator which leads me to believe it has to do with users setting setup on the forum.

Are you ticking the text box to save your pw/keep you logged in? I will test with Jack Burton account.

So far it has kept me logged in and working...

...will leave this browser session going for a long time to see if it keeps working.

Also, do you set your browsers to not save cookies?

So far so good, is keeping my session even after I close and reopen IE as I'm saving the cookie. New posts works fine. New posts functionality is tied to logon (which times out) unless you save a cookie.

I will test some more. When we had the issue with Image Hosting it was this account I used to pinpoint the issue as it is not in any of the admin groups.

Checked the box to remember me. Will see what happens.

I too have been logged in continuously, without being auto-logged out. I also haven't had any trouble with the "new posts" button, and I use three different machines. Hope you get it sorted out, that would be really annoying.
