I told her, but apparently according to her mom she had plans on trying to run off anyway. So it really wouldn't have mattered.

Don't waste your money on a cold air intake they are pointless on 2v's. Start with gears and a short throw then go with a blower or a set of trick flow heads and cams.

Yeah, I'm holding off on the CAI because I plan on putting a blower in sometime in the near future. But for now, I think I'm going to start with a cat-back exhaust (Borla), and gears...either 4:10's or 3:73's. I'm still up in the air though as far as getting either LT's or shorty headers. I'll more than likely make a decision around the same time I order the blower.

Long tubes or nothing. Shortys do nothing at all on the 2V motors.

I had a 2002 Mustang GTAutomatiic and had a lot of problems with it to the point that I traded it for the "07 Pony Package V-6. The GT got better gas mileage than the '07 and the cloth seats were a hell of alot more comfortable than the leather seats in the '07.

Stock it dynoed at 214 RWHP. With a ported and polished intake elbow, Steeda plemun spacer, an SLP PowerFlo exhaust cat back system, and the huge rubber air intake snorkle from an 2003 blown Termiator it dynoed at 214 RWHP. The mods gave me "0" HP inprovement. Unless you get an off road X or H pipe or one with low restriction aftermarket cats, exhaust mods are a waste of money. The bottle neck on these cars are the 4 cats on the factory H-pipe.

I don't know how far you want to go with mods, but there are three CARTECH books that I would highly recommend that you get and read before you start throwing money at the car.

1. "How to build Max-performance 4.6Liter Ford Engines" by Sean Highland
ISBN # 1-884089-78-X $18.95 Cartech Item # SA82

2. " High Performance Mustang Builder's Guide 1994-2004" by Sean Highland
ISBN #1-932494-10-3 Cartech item # SA106. This book covers Engine, Suspension, Drive Train, Wheels and tires, and brake mods. $24.95

3. "Building 4.6/5.4 L Ford Horsepower on the Dyno" by Richard Holdner. This book covers 2, 3, and 4 valve engines. It gives the actual dyno results of various mods. It tells you what works and what doesn't work. ISBN # 1-932494-20-0. Cartech Item #SA115 $24.95

I've had these books for many years and the prices have may gone up. Hopefully they are still in print. I hope that this information is of help to you.
