The Mechanic who dynoed it is very good,True Blue Ford......
Restorationmods.com His Name is Brent and he has his shop just outside of Boise

restorationmods.com doesn't work for me :(

The reason I was curious about a dyno tune is because i think maybe it was mwood that once told me he picked up something like 30 horse with a custom dyno tune

I don't think 30HP over the canned Bama tunes would be very safe for your engine ... Bama X tunes are for max SAFE HP/TQ ... not on the edge of HP/TQ and Blown engine ...

I wouldn't waste the money on a zabteck if your running an X I bought one put it on ran it for a couple days then threw it on the dynojet, WOW! I gained about a 1/2 a HP. I'm dyno'd at 293.43 rwhp I was hoping the zab would throw me over 300rwhp, Not! I guess the X is already pushing so much more air that it just didn't matter, I'm running the 2.8 pulley, i sol it for 200.00. On a naturally aspirated motor it would make a diff but not on the X.

Ron's results with a Zabteck and his X-Charger were quite a bit different and he got around seven more RWHP as I recall... but when I did a search, I found this post where Ron remembered it was around eight.

I have one on mine and, while I didn't have it dynoed, I could feel some measure of improvement that I'm pretty sure was more than just 1/2 horsepower. Maybe they don't work for everyone, but for several of us I think the improvements were significant after adding a Zabteck.

Here's a graph comparing the standard 93 tune to my custom dyno tune. The good gains are all down low and you can really feel the difference. There is more HP left on top because we only pulled it to 5500rpms. The torque started to drop off and that's what really matters.

This is also a mustang dyno so the numbers are lower than that on a dyno jet. I think the difference is like 10-15hp plus some other variables.

When the guy tuned my car the numbers weren't any factor at all. An increase just tells you your moving in the right direction...All numbers are an estimate and will vary from dyno to dyno.

I think the lines on the graph tell a better story then peak and average numbers. Take a look!

I gained 4 HP and 7 TQ with the ZabTeck ... SOTP says acceleration is better as well ...

Wrong. My AFRis an even 11 at wot. My comparison also included going from a 3.0 pulley and stock air box to a 2.8 and CAI, so the gains were not all in the tune.

Yes I am. Over the canned CA kit tune for the 3.0 pulley and stock air box. Torque went up that much too.
