Hi, I wonder if you can shed any light on the issue I have:- The car drives ok on the way to the track. Burn-out, no problem. Race down the strip and the moment I lift of the gas my engine management light and the wrench light come on. Complete loss of power (Limp mode). Check codes and P2104 appears. Clear fault code and re-start car everything as normal? Changed TB and TPS (1.26 volts) both are brand new. Go and do another run and the same thing happens...!! Re-flash the tune incase it's corrupted and do another run and the same thing happens again. Removed pipework to air filter to watch throttle body. If I press the gas pedal down slowly it works as it should but if I take my foot off the gas pedal quickly as you do at the track the motor on the TB seems to return to the closed position but it seems to twitch open/shut at the end? Is this normal? I would appreciate any help with this issue, regards, Vic.

Yea that's what I figured but wanted to hear from another 4.0 owner with experience. Mine is also at low limits so more clearance. May go to a bit thicker oil.

when hot, it can get low. I've seen it around 30, even lower at times. The thinner oil doesn't help.

did you ever have a gauge on your v6 mike as far as oil pressure at idle went? I am getting about 25 psi hot at idle. I have cut the crank to low limits mind you and running 5w/30 oil. thanks.

how much are you cranking it? it might take quite a bit to build pressure. You know how it is when you change the oil, after starting it takes a few seconds for the oil pressure to come up?

One thing I do on the V8's is to coat all the parts in oil good, and to prime some oil pressure before starting (using a hand-sprayer pump attached to the oil pressure sensor port using a npt hose-barb fitting, to pump up some pressure and force oil into the engine).

You should be able to crank it enough so that eventually it builds some pressure.

mike not getting oil pressure cranking the motor over with fuel pump and coil off. I have a mechanical gauge. should I see pressure on these motors or will it need started up to get pressure? don't want to eff this up again. the oil lines are correct lol.
